Role Summary:
If you are looking for your next role to have a direct impact on the future of construction jobsites enabled by remote control machines, we have an excellent career opportunity to join Caterpillar’s Customer Solutions Core Regions’ Technology team in the Europe region as a Cat Command Application Specialist.
In this role, you will be responsible to drive our remote-control technology sales throughout Europe. Additionally, you will support application studies, communicate product and market information to the product groups, manage new product introductions (NPI) and participate in the marketing strategy. This field-based assignment is designed for an experienced individual contributor where assignments are complex, challenging and lend themselves to strategic decisions.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Drive sales of Cat Command (remote control) portfolio offering. You will be the key sales lead among dealers and other Caterpillar business units, with direct exposure to customers and accountability for Cat Command sales results.
Conduct customer site studies (application, networks, infrastructure, etc) to assess product fit, collect customer requirements to understand how to meet customer needs and achieve successful closure.
Coordinate Cat Command demos and commissioning with dealers and Caterpillar team to ensure a top customer delivery experience and help expand future dealer capabilities. You will be expected to have a foundational knowledge to support demo set-up and basic troubleshooting.
Deliver targeted training to dealer teams and customers and build dealer capability to support product adoption and ongoing use
Remain current on market needs and technology changes to support and develop product sales, dealer effectiveness, NPI processes and other market requirements.

Education and experience:
University degree preferably in engineering, business or marketing or equivalent experience
Extensive commercial experience involving dealer and/or customer facing positions (10+ years)
Background in dealership or OEM environments
Top Candidates will also have:
Regional construction, quarry, industrial and waste and/or mining industry expertise
Previous experience of working in a multinational company and collaborating with a global team
Strong technical experience in machine control and guidance, machine technology systems and industrial networks
Additional information:
Travel: requires at least 50% or more travel across the assigned territory
A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss or EU-25/EFTA citizenship is required for this position.
