Job Summary
We are seeking a Skilled Manager Informational Technology((ERP Deployment & Test Automation) to join our Application Services -CAT IT Division.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN
What you will do
Leads a team within the ERP Deployment and Testing Services organization, responsible for delivering SAP/QAD ERP implementations, Basis support, Release Management and test automation capabilities. This role drives execution across ERP SDLC phases with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
The incumbent works closely with Business Units, global IT teams, and external partners to support critical ERP programs, improve delivery efficiency, and enable adoption of automation and standardized testing practices.
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals (10 -13 FTEs) and contract resources, including work allocation, coaching, and performance management
- Drive execution of ERP deployment activities across design, build, testing, cutover, and hypercare phases
- Define and execute test strategy including functional, integration, performance and regression testing
- Promote and implement test automation practices including regression automation and test data management
- Ensure adherence to organizational standards, policies, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure high-quality delivery
- Support vendor and partner management to ensure delivery commitments
- Lead issue resolution and troubleshooting for complex system issues
- Track and report KPIs such as defect trends, test coverage, and delivery timelines
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization within the team
Job Responsibilities:

What you will have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or related field
- 10–15 years of experience in ERP, application development, or testing services
- 3–5 years of team leadership experience
- Strong experience in SAP (S/4, ECC) and QAD implementations
- Experience with test automation tools (UFT, Selenium, Tosca or equivalent)
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile/DevOps practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office
