Role Definition
As an Automation Engineer you will be a key player in maintaining the quality and reliability of our software solutions. You will develop automated test scripts using Python, execute test cases, identify defects, and collaborate closely with the development team to enhance and streamline test processes. You will be supporting in verification and validation of features that are required for Autonomous Drills System (ADS).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
- Design, implement, and execute automated tests to ensure software quality.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues.
- Work closely with developers to resolve bugs and improve software.
- Continuously improve testing frameworks and processes.
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure regression testing coverage for all releases.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Autonomy Application & Embedded Software Testing.
- Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset for prioritizing features and evaluating product progress.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to maximize team and product value
Domain / System Understanding (Preferred)
- System-level understanding of Caterpillar machines.
- Experience with machine control, robotics, or guidance systems.
- Knowledge of industrial safety and field deployment.
Degree Required
- Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Electronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in guiding software development teams.
- This position requires working onsite five days a week.
