Job Title: SAP Grief Analyst
Salary: £35,247.92 - £39,071.50 when role objectives are reached
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
Contract: Full-time & permanent
Hours: 37.50 – multi-shift pattern
The Opportunity
As an SAP Grief Analyst, you will develop specialist SAP knowledge and become a subject matter expert within your functional area. During the implementation phase, you will support training, user readiness and deployment activities to prepare the business for SAP Go-Live. Following deployment, you will transition into the Grief Team, investigating and resolving process exceptions, identifying root causes, supporting end users and driving sustainable process improvements that ensure efficient, compliant and effective business operations.
Phased Delivery Model:
Phase 1: Build (Aug–Dec 2026 | Day Shift)
Develop capability through blended learning (digital, classroom, and practical application). Create consistent training materials, standard work, and process documentation aligned to business needs.Phase 2: Deliver (Jan–May 2027 | Multi-Shift)
Deliver structured end-user training across all shifts, ensuring readiness ahead of Go-Live. Provide active support during rollout and hyper care.Phase 3: Sustain (Post Go-Live | Multi-Shift)
Transition into the SAP Grief Analyst role within the Grief Team, acting as a subject matter expert for SAP by resolving process exceptions, supporting users, driving process improvements, and ensuring operational excellence through sustainable solutions and standardised ways of working.
What You Will Do:
As SAP Grief Analyst, your accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:
Own the investigation and resolution of SAP grief, exceptions and process-related issues, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
Analyse root causes, identify process and knowledge gaps, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Deliver training, coaching and user support to build SAP capability, process understanding and Go-Live readiness.
Drive continuous improvement through exception trend analysis, process optimisation and standardisation of ways of working.
Partner with stakeholders, process owners and support teams to deliver sustainable solutions and improve operational performance.
Act as a trusted SAP subject matter expert, maintaining governance controls, standard work and issue-resolution documentation while promoting process compliance and best practice.

What You Can Demonstrate:
Functional Expertise: Demonstrates strong working knowledge in at least one of the following areas: logistics processes, material movements, warehouse management, or inventory transactions. Understands the day-to-day activities, system transactions and business processes within their area, and how they support accurate and efficient operations.
Problem Solving: Investigates SAP and process exceptions, identifies root causes using data and operational insight, and implements effective corrective actions that prevent recurrence and maintain operational performance.
Continuous Improvement: Uses data, trend analysis and operational insights to identify opportunities, improve processes, reduce recurring issues and deliver sustainable business improvements.
User Development: Supports others through coaching, training and knowledge sharing, helping users build capability, adopt standard processes and work effectively within SAP.
What You May Have:
Logistics & Supply Chain Knowledge: Knowledge of logistics, warehouse, material flow or inventory processes and how they support day-to-day operations.
Systems & Data Literacy: Confident using SAP, ERP systems and Microsoft 365 tools to process information, analyse data and support operational decision-making.
Attention to Detail: Produces accurate work, maintains quality records and follows established processes and controls consistently
