The Manager, Compensation Programs & Incentive Administration is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing enterprise compensation programs that support business objectives and talent strategies. This role serves as the primary subject matter expert for salary administration, market pricing, incentive compensation, annual merit planning, and compensation governance. The successful candidate will leverage data, market intelligence, and compensation analytics to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices. This is a highly visible role that will partner with executives and HR leaders, and support bonus and incentive plan administration across the organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Acts as functional expert and leads external market research and analyses to understand Total Rewards trends and ensure our programs are market competitive and support business and talent objectives
  • Leads complex Total Rewards related projects, interacting with consultants and internal partners
  • Lead internal team to ensure delivery of Total Rewards programs, processes, and services
  • Administer annual and short-term incentive plans across business units.
  • Lead bonus calculations, payout governance, and plan communication activities.
  • Partner with Finance, HR and Segment Business leadership to ensure accurate incentive funding and administration.
  • Support development and implementation of sales, management, and executive incentive programs.
  • Conduct market pricing studies and compensation benchmarking analyses.
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and HR stakeholders to mitigate compensation-related risk.
  • Support comparable compensation, transparency, and compensation governance initiatives.

What You Will Have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Compensation Management: Knowledge of compensation structure, and regulations and policies related to compensation; ability to design, implement and evaluate compensation programs, policies and processes within an organization.
  • Program Management: Knowledge of the policies and techniques to manage a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control the set of projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve program objectives.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Power BI experience
  • Experience with Workday and the Advanced Compensation Module in Workday
  • Previous incentive compensation administration experience

  • This role requires 5 days a week in office

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
