When you join Caterpillar, you're joining a global team who cares not just about the work we do – but also about each other. We are the makers, problem solvers, and future world builders who are creating stronger, more sustainable communities. We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.

Resource Industries Supply Management (RISM) is Caterpillar’s global procurement organization responsible for supplier management, sourcing strategy, procurement excellence, cost competitiveness, quality, and supply chain resiliency across Caterpillar’s Resource Industries portfolio. RISM partners with internal and external stakeholders to drive operational excellence and support Caterpillar’s long-term business growth.

As the Procurement Solutions Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 5 to 10 direct reports and deliver globally effective business solutions that support the execution of RISM's procurement vision and strategy. This role is responsible for business reviews, reporting, process improvement, compliance, and strategic initiatives across Resource Industries procurement.

You will oversee the monthly business review process, presenting procurement contracts, proposed price increases, cost performance, priorities, and business risks to senior leaders, including vice president-level stakeholders. In addition, you will lead the Sustainable Value Creation initiative, ensuring projects and priorities are effectively communicated, executed, measured, and reported.

  • Prepare and deliver concise, compelling presentations to vice presidents and other senior leaders, adapting content and recommendations to the audience.

  • Lead a team of approximately 5 to 10 procurement solutions professionals, establishing priorities, clarifying accountabilities, coaching performance, and supporting employee development.

  • Drive the Sustainable Value Creation initiative for the team, translating strategic priorities into actionable projects, measurable deliverables, and consistent reporting.

  • Partner across Resource Industries procurement to coordinate strategic initiatives and support the achievement of critical cost targets.

  • Analyze procurement and business processes to identify inefficiencies, control gaps, risks, and opportunities for standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement.

  • Develop, implement, and improve business processes, reporting mechanisms, governance routines, tools, and training.

  • Support tariff-related activities by coordinating data, tools, reporting, processes, and stakeholder communication.

  • Evaluate business requirements and stakeholder needs, recommend practical solutions, and develop implementation plans that support successful adoption.

  • Provide oversight for procurement compliance activities, including adherence to procurement regulations, contract specifications, reporting requirements, and established processes.

  • Analyze procurement data, identify trends and risks, and translate findings into clear recommendations for leadership decision-making.

  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail across executive reports, business reviews, project updates, and compliance documentation.

  • Build productive relationships across functions, businesses, and geographic locations to align priorities and execute initiatives.

  • Drive adoption of new solutions and identify continuous improvement opportunities that reduce complexity, strengthen controls, and improve business performance.
