Join the EAME Distribution Team as a, where you will be responsible for strategy & governance of the EAME Center of Excellence and will oversee project management activities related to key strategic dealer capability development initiatives such as Services Commitment.
The Senior Manager, Distribution Capability Development will work across EAME Distribution, industry partners, and dealers to shape capabilities that impact customer outcomes. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, communication, and influencing. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of our customers' toughest challenges, the operating model of our dealers, broad enterprise network, and a strong alignment with our enterprise priorities and 2030 goals. EAME Distribution’s mission is to deliver superior customer experience, profitable market leadership and services growth through industry-best distribution performance. We provide governance and administration of Cat® dealers across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Eurasia.
Role Definition
This position of Senior Manager, Distribution Capability Development will report to the VP Distribution Services COE. In this role, the successful candidate will lead a team responsible for key strategic dealer capability development programs across EAME and provide strategy and governance leadership for the EAME Center of Excellence.
Key Job Responsibilities :
Lead EAME-wide strategic project teams delivering critical enterprise initiatives such as Services Commitment and Condition Monitoring Development.
Execute and govern the EAME Distribution CoE Strategy
Define and lead capability development program standards across EAME
Identify, develop, and collaborate with dealers on strategic capability development programs.
Oversee the hiring and development of the Distribution Capability Development team.
Skills required for success in this role:
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization
Alignment: Knowledge of the importance of collaboration among team members and the ability to enroll stakeholders in communicating and coordinating activities to support the organization's vision and strategies
Cross-Team Integration: Understanding of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team.
Potential Background that can help you succeed in role :
10+ years of experience within manufacturing, construction, industrial equipment, mining, automotive, or related B2B industries.
Previous leadership experience managing teams and developing talent.
Experience leading regional programs, strategic initiatives, or transformational projects across multiple countries.
Strong commercial, aftermarket, product support, dealer development, or channel management experience.
Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive outcomes in complex matrix organizations.
Experience working across EAME or other multinational regions.
Strong project and program governance experience, with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
Demonstrated success driving business improvement, capability development, or operational excellence initiatives.
Demonstrated experience leading change, organizational transformation, strategic initiatives, or regional programs across multiple countries, with a proven ability to deliver results through others.
Fluent in English; Arabic and/or French would be an advantage.
Candidates with experience living or working in the Middle East are preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 35%.
