The Technical Information Solutions (TIS) team within Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD) creates and delivers technical parts and service information accessible via SIS and SIS2GO that is critical for the repair and service of Caterpillar products. Over 300,000 dealer and customer users depend on the information created, managed, and delivered by this team to identify and order Cat parts.

Job Summary

In TIS, the Parts Information Graphics Specialist leads the creation, validation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of parts information graphics supporting new product introductions and product revisions. The role provides technical leadership and manages projects to ensure graphics are completed accurately and on time.

What You Will Do:

• Trains, mentors, and provides technical guidance to staff on creating, validating, revising, and publishing technical parts information graphics. Develops, maintains, and improves graphics standards, best practices, and training materials.
• Reviews parts information graphics for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards and business requirements. Provides constructive coaching and feedback to strengthen technical capability and quality performance.
• Leads and participates in continuous improvement initiatives focused on graphics quality, productivity, standardization, workflow efficiency, automation, and customer experience. Collaborates with cross-functional and global stakeholders to resolve complex technical and business issues.

What You Have

• Technical Excellence: Demonstrated knowledge of Caterpillar product structure, engineering databases (Teamcenter, PRWB), parts information systems (Windchill), and graphics creation tools (Creo, Canvas). Applies technical expertise to create, validate, revise, and audit parts information graphics; develops effective solutions; maintains standards; and provides technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to illustrators.

• Customer Focus: Understands customer needs and business requirements and applies that knowledge to deliver accurate, timely, usable, and customer-centric parts information graphics that support product serviceability and parts identification.
• Service Excellence: Responds effectively to parts information requests and stakeholder interactions with urgency, accountability, and positive action. Identifies improvement opportunities and leads enhancements in assigned business processes, including 3D Graphics, 2D Graphics, Auditing, Training, Mentoring, Editing, and Standards, to support high-quality customer outcomes.
• Effective Communications: Communicates clearly and professionally through verbal and written channels. Provides constructive, behavior-based feedback, receives feedback openly, presents technical information effectively, facilitates meetings, and builds alignment among team members and stakeholders.
• Data Gathering & Analysis: Gathers, analyzes, and interprets parts information business data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities. Uses data to support sound decisions, measures outcomes, and identifies and reports issues in data collection or business processes.
• Problem Solving: Identifies, analyzes, and documents complex technical and business problems. Evaluates root causes and resolution alternatives, considers stakeholder perspectives, and collaborates across functions to implement effective solutions and improve operational performance.
