As a Sr. Site Deployment Consultant- Condition Monitoring, you will be accountable for delivering superior Customer and Dealer experience for new Condition Monitoring (CM) sites by managing deployment expectations, enabling faster process orientation, and by guiding a more consistent engagement journey. You will achieve this through excellence in communication, individual organization, and team collaboration. Additionally, this role will coordinate the seamless transition to the assigned CMA and operations team for, as well as validate key systems are in place long-term services execution.

What You Will Do:
Site Setup & Superior Initial Customer/Dealer Experience
Ensure all parties understand their roles and responsibilities to deliver successful CM service outcomes
Facilitate and/or support all CM kickoff and transition meetings
Provide onsite CM service overviews to dealers and customers using strong commercial communication
Identify key organizational contacts and develop a communication plan for new CM sites
Gather critical customer and dealer information to support setup and deployment activities
Site & Service Execution Validation
Ensure each site is properly connected and operating to support CM service excellence and prevent negative startup experiences
Confirm equipment enrolment requirements and subscriptions are completed
Ensure all key parties have the necessary permissions and system access
Maintain accurate internal records related to site onboarding (e.g., Salesforce)
Conduct periodic customer/dealer check‑ins to validate commercial experience
Team Capability & Efficiency Enhancement
Collect “Voice of Customer” insights to improve the onboarding process
Support internal Caterpillar teams with CM‑related commercial projects
What Skills You Will Have:
Field Support: Extensive commercial and change management experience. Knowledge of and experience with providing post-sales support; ability to support maintenance of hardware products.
Technical Excellence: Basic understanding of the 5 elements of Condition Monitoring and Advisor roles and responsibilities. Exposure to various equipment applications (mining, quarry and aggregates, waste).
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner
Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Mining, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years' experience in condition monitoring, asset health management, mining operations, heavy equipment support, technical service, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience coordinating projects, site deployments, onboarding activities, or change management initiatives.
Experience engaging directly with customers and/or Caterpillar dealers.
Background in cross-functional, project-based teamwork (product development, 6-Sigma, CPI, etc.)
Experience with Cat Foresight, Salesforce and Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Power-Bi).
Additional Information:
The primary work location for this role is onsite - Johannesburg, Kempton Park
This position will require 25 to 50 % travel
