The BMT Training Manager is responsible for leading the Basic Machinist Training program and supporting the development of employees as they build the technical skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in a machining environment.

In this role, you will partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and HR leaders to identify capability needs, implement effective training solutions, and ensure employees have the knowledge and skills required to achieve business objectives.

What You Will Do:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of training professionals.
• Partner with business leaders to identify workforce capability needs and align training priorities with operational goals.
• Oversee training center operations, including scheduling, resource planning, learning technologies, and training delivery.
• Lead onboarding, qualification, certification, and technical skills development programs.
• Ensure training requirements, records, and compliance standards are effectively maintained.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to implement effective workforce training programs.
• Monitor training effectiveness and workforce readiness using data, metrics, and stakeholder feedback.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance employee capability and operational performance.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence.

What You Have:

• Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to develop teams, provide coaching, and drive performance.
• Training Operations: Knowledge of training processes, systems, and governance; ability to manage strategic and day-to-day training operations.
• Workforce Development: Knowledge of employee development practices and strategies that build workforce capability and support business objectives.
• Training Needs Analysis: Ability to identify capability gaps and determine learning priorities that address operational needs.
• Effective Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees, leaders, and stakeholders at all levels.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze information, evaluate options, and make sound business decisions.
• Collaboration: Ability to build productive partnerships and work effectively across functions to achieve common goals.
• Data Gathering and Reporting: Ability to utilize data and metrics to evaluate effectiveness, identify trends, and support decision-making.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Degree or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting onboarding, qualification, certification, or technical skills development programs, preferably in a machining, manufacturing, or production environment.
• Experience leading teams in manufacturing, operations, workforce development, or training environments.

• Experience utilizing learning management systems and training technologies.

• The most successful candidates combine technical knowledge with a genuine desire to develop others and help employees succeed.

• Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.

Additional Information:

• Travel may be required up to 15%.
