Role Definition

Provides manufacturing engineering support and project coordination for one or two assigned product groups. Serves as the primary manufacturing contact and coordinates product introductions, product modifications, drawing releases, and engineering changes. The role combines technical knowledge of welding and assembly processes with project planning, cross-functional coordination, documentation control, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary manufacturing contact for one or two assigned product groups and maintain effective communication with participating functions.
  • Participate in product and process development meetings and support the review and approval of new drawing releases.
  • Coordinate product introduction and modification projects, including activities, owners, schedules, deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
  • Manage engineering changes with machine-level effectivity and ensure appropriate follow-up from technical evaluation through production implementation.
  • Analyze engineering change notices to determine effects on parts, manufacturing methods, welding and assembly processes, tooling, documentation, and production operations.
  • Develop and maintain organized manufacturing and project documentation to support implementation, traceability, and cross-functional communication.
  • Provide technical support for welding and assembly processes, including production part runs, line implementation, manufacturing documentation, and tooling requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze project and manufacturing data using Excel and Power BI to communicate progress, risks, open actions, and results.

Degree Requirements

Education

Completed bachelor's degree in Engineering. Preferred fields include Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical and Administrative Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or another engineering discipline related to manufacturing.

English

Advanced English proficiency is required to maintain business and technical conversations, participate actively in meetings, communicate project status and risks, and collaborate with product groups located outside the local facility.

  • Broader technical knowledge of welding and assembly processes.
  • Participation in drawing releases, engineering change implementation, tooling requirements, and production part runs.

Project Management

  • Formal training or certification in Project Management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project for schedules, dependencies, risks, and action tracking.
  • Participation in product introduction or product modification initiatives.

Effective Communications

  • Ability to coordinate technical teams and product groups across different functions and locations.
  • Ability to present technical information, project status, risks, and required decisions in English.

Data Gathering and Analysis

  • Advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis and activity tracking.
  • Strong Power BI capabilities for dashboards, reports, and project visualizations.

Additional Information

  • Work location: Santa Catarina, Plant 1.
  • Work arrangement: On-site.
  • Regular schedule: Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Overtime: Availability is required when operationally necessary, including additional hours during the week or on weekends, in accordance with permitted working hours.
  • Travel requirement: Approximately 10% to 15%.
  • Travel type: Domestic and international.
