Job Summary:

Oversees and coordinates daily production activities within the MTV machining area, ensuring safe operations, product quality, production continuity, and achievement of volume and cost objectives. Leads assigned line personnel during a rotating 12-hour shift and supports disciplined execution through PQVC indicators and PDCA action tracking.

Maintains a stable machining operation by coordinating people, priorities, and operational resources; identifying deviations; communicating risks; and driving timely corrective actions. Provides accurate operating information to support decisions and continuous improvement.

Provides first-line leadership for machining operations, including CNC processes, personnel administration, production reporting, daily scheduling, performance follow-up, and coordination with Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance support functions.

What you will do:

  • Supervise daily activities of machining personnel, assign work, and coordinate resources to meet the production schedule.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and operating standards throughout the shift.

  • Manage value stream performance through PQVC indicators, identifying deviations, priorities, and operational risks.

  • Lead PDCA board reviews, assign actions and owners, track due dates, and verify effective closure.

  • Coordinate CNC machining operations with Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance to address technical and operational issues.

  • Prepare, maintain, and communicate production reports, metrics, personnel incidents, tool-performance information, and shift records.

  • Administer schedules, attendance events, and personnel records through the applicable corporate system with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Train and guide new personnel while promoting collaboration, disciplined execution, effective communication, and continuous improvement.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field.

Intermediate English is required to interpret operational and technical information and to support business communication related to manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.

  • Working knowledge of CNC machining processes.

  • Ability to manage and interpret PQVC indicators.

  • Proficiency in Freedom and Lock.

  • Knowledge of PDCA boards and structured action follow-up.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for operational reporting and analysis.

  • Ability to lead shop-floor personnel and coordinate daily priorities.

  • Ability to prepare clear reports and communicate deviations, risks, and required actions.

  • Defines the issue and determines its significance to safety, quality, volume, or cost.

  • Compares two or more alternatives using relevant operating information.

  • Uses flowcharts, Pareto charts, cause-and-effect diagrams, or similar tools to identify meaningful patterns.

  • Applies logic to interpret data and reach supportable conclusions.

Planning and Organizing

  • Raises awareness of potential bottlenecks and disruptions to the production schedule.

  • Breaks objectives into manageable tasks for the shift team.

  • Escalates concerns involving competing or conflicting priorities.

  • Monitors progress continuously and adjusts tactics to operating conditions.

  • Creates action plans that support completion of assigned responsibilities.

Performance Management

Level: Basic Understanding

  • Communicates clear work expectations and follows up on assigned commitments.

  • Applies the organization's performance management practices and tools appropriately.

  • Monitors individual and team results using objective operating information.

  • Documents relevant facts and supports corrective or development actions.

  • Provides timely, behavior-based feedback aligned with operating requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Power BI knowledge for production dashboards and indicator visualization.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods.

  • Background leading personnel in rotating manufacturing operations.

  • Familiarity with corporate manufacturing and personnel administration systems.
