Job Summary:
Caterpillar is seeking a Senior IT Analyst - Order Management Systems to support and improve enterprise applications that power order management, digital commerce, customer-facing platforms, and connected business processes. This role will provide technical leadership, operational oversight, and application delivery support for systems that help business teams, dealers, customers, and internal users work more effectively.
In this position, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, software development teams, vendors, and support organizations to deliver enhancements, improve system reliability, troubleshoot complex issues, plan releases, support testing, and contribute to modernization initiatives. You will help connect business needs with scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions.

What you will do:
Lead application delivery and operational support activities for enterprise order management, digital commerce, and customer-facing applications.
Partner with business teams to understand needs, analyze requirements, evaluate solution options, and support strategic technology initiatives.
Coordinate application enhancements, releases, testing, deployment readiness, and production implementation.
Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and impacts across interconnected business applications and technology platforms.
Work with developers, architects, vendors, cybersecurity, compliance, infrastructure, and support teams to maintain reliable and secure applications.
Troubleshoot complex system, integration, data flow, and production support issues.
Support application governance, compliance, audit, security, and operational standards.
Contribute to technology roadmaps, modernization planning, application lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate status, decisions, risks, and recommendations to business partners, technical teams, and leadership.
Identify opportunities to improve support, delivery, automation, monitoring, and AI-enabled processes.
What you will have:
System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of application design and architecture principles and practices; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools, and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
Core Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.
Technology Advising: Ability to evaluate technology solutions, provide guidance to stakeholders, and promote best practices.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze technical and business requirements, identify risks, and develop effective strategies.
Basic requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related area.
Pre-advanced English.
Experience supporting, delivering, testing, enhancing, or implementing enterprise business applications.
Strong understanding of application systems, business process support, system integration, issue resolution, and production stability.
Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work across business and technical teams in complex environments with multiple applications, integrations, vendors, and global partners.
Top candidates will also have:
6+ years of experience in application delivery, application support, systems analysis, software development, or related technology roles.
Experience with order management, digital commerce, customer experience, supply chain, ERP, dealer/customer platforms, EDI, B2B integrations, or similar enterprise platforms.
Experience with Microsoft Azure, DevOps, AWS, Snowflake, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or other enterprise cloud and data platforms.
Experience with APIs, data flows, middleware, systems integration, and enterprise application architecture concepts.
Familiarity with Agile delivery, SDLC, release management, testing strategy, user acceptance testing, and production deployment.
Experience supporting cybersecurity, compliance, audit, governance, application lifecycle, or technology risk requirements.
Ability to influence across teams, simplify complex technical topics, and build trusted relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
Additional Information:
Up to 10% travel is required.
