Role Definition
- Provide leadership to formulate, propose and implement interest rate risk, debt placement strategies, foreign exchange, and funding strategies for Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation (CFSC), manage CFSC pricing functions, manage global factoring programs for CFSC and support key processes in support of the corporate business plan.
Responsibilities
- Oversees regional funding in either North America or Latin America, including the management and issuance of short and long-term debt securities, including commercial paper, medium-term notes, bank bilateral financing, and other capital solutions.
- Oversees cash management team for North America, supports regional line units with banking and account management needs, and structures and administers intercompany funding.
- Oversees the administration of the global interest rate and FX risk management systems and processes and provides asset liability management leadership and recommendations for regional line units.
- Oversees global pricing function with responsibilities including the establishment of cost of funds, annual spread target setting, monthly reporting, and ROE evaluation of all transactions reviewed by Credit Committee.
Degree Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

- Financial Markets: Knowledge of the products, types, competitors, customer base, major issues and regulatory considerations in the financial markets; ability to apply financial market knowledge to various business environments.
- Financial Risk Management: Knowledge of tools, techniques, and strategies applied in financial risk management; ability to quantify, qualify, and manage financial risk.
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP): Knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); ability to apply GAAP appropriately within the organization.
- Treasury Management: Knowledge of the principles and methods of managing treasury; ability to use tools, techniques and processes to maximize the value of an organization's financial assets and revenue while minimizing risk.

- Treasury & Capital Markets Leadership: Demonstrated expertise developing and executing funding strategies, including debt issuance, capital markets activities, commercial paper programs, bank financing, and long-term funding solutions that support business growth and profitability.
- Asset Liability Management (ALM) Expertise: Deep understanding of balance sheet management, liquidity planning, and asset liability management principles, with the ability to optimize risk-adjusted returns and support strategic financial decision-making.
- Interest Rate & Foreign Exchange Risk Management: Proven ability to identify, assess, and manage interest rate and foreign exchange exposures through effective risk management frameworks, hedging strategies, and derivative instruments.
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Experience translating complex market dynamics into actionable business strategies, providing executive-level recommendations that align funding, pricing, and risk management decisions with organizational objectives.
- Pricing & Profitability Management: Strong commercial acumen with experience establishing cost of funds methodologies, evaluating transaction profitability, managing spread performance, and supporting return on equity (ROE) objectives.
- Global Funding & Liquidity Management: Track record of overseeing regional or global funding operations, cash management activities, banking relationships, and intercompany funding structures across multiple markets and currencies.
- Executive Influence & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to build trusted partnerships with senior leaders, banking partners, credit committees, and cross-functional teams to drive results and influence strategic outcomes.
- People Leadership & Team Development: Proven success leading high-performing teams, developing talent, fostering collaboration, and creating an environment that supports continuous learning, accountability, and career growth.
- Financial Markets Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of economic trends, capital markets, funding environments, and emerging financial developments, with the ability to anticipate market impacts and proactively adjust strategy.
- Analytical & Decision-Making Excellence: Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex financial scenarios, assess risk, and make sound business decisions in a dynamic global environment.
- Multilingual Communication: Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively across diverse international markets.
Additional information:
This position requires the successful candidate to work full time, 5 days per week in the Nashville main office.
Compensation & Benefits:
Summary Pay Range:
$185,808.00 - $297,300.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
