This role will focus on enabling data-driven decision making for the Cat Foresight and Cat Inspect organizations by leveraging data from Snowflake and application telemetry and transforming it into actionable insights through Power BI dashboards and reporting. The primary objective is to better understand user behavior, product adoption, and stakeholder needs, while reducing reliance on engineering teams for recurring reporting and analytics requests.

What will you do?

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will strongly contribute to vision and product development through high end Caterpillar product portfolio and be responsible for the following:

• Analyze recurring data request patterns and implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and accelerate response times.
• Standardize and streamline the data request intake process by establishing clear workflows, prioritization criteria, and governance practices.
• Develop stakeholder-facing reports and dashboards that highlight key performance trends, emerging insights, and business impacts.
• Proactively monitor performance metrics and trend data, partnering with product teams to identify and address product, user, or learner adoption gaps when negative trends emerge.

This position works in Central European time zone directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US. Role will require collaboration across several time zones and cross functional teams.

What you have:

• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Extensive understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
• Effective Communications: Extensive understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Business Data Analysis: Extensive knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
• Business Assessment: Working knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.

Top Candidates will also have:

• Proven experience in design and prototyping dynamic views and visualizations for large and complex data sets in Power BI
• Ability to tell a story with data
• Working knowledge of one or more programming languages
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-starter and driven while working well in team environment
• Create innovative solutions to solve business problems
• Strong attention to detail to spot inaccuracies in coding or data
• Experience with data structures using SQL
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, and Excel
