Job Summary

ICD Cabs engineering team in Mexico is responsible to provide design support for Resource Industries cabs made in local cabs facility. This team works closely with the design team in USA. The main activities are:

  • Design support for NPI (new product introduction): it includes Creo modeling and detailing to release new part numbers or engineering changes based on the program needs.
  • Design support for maintenance of current production models includes root cause analysis, proposal development, manufacturability review with facilities involved and release.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for continuous product improvement (CPI) projects and/or BIQ (built in quality) issues.
  • Collaborate on analysis and solutions of AQEs (All quality events) reported by assembly facilities.
  • Lead CPPD (concurrent product and process development) meetings between designers and cabs facility.

Daily responsibilities are:

  • Lead CPPD meeting for assigned models.
  • Attend Stop to fix in the shop for the assigned models and provide engineering feedback.
  • Creo modeling and detailing for print changes for current production and new products.
  • Deviation review and assessment.
  • Root cause analysis for engineering related issues.
  • communication with components and ROPS designers.

Education:

  • Engineering degrees such as mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or manufacturing engineering
  • Advanced English

Product Design and Development

  • Participates in defining product vision, gathering customer and market requirements, and translating them into design concepts.
  • Uses engineering design methods and automated tools to create, modify, and improve product designs.
  • Assists in testing, evaluating, and refining designs to ensure products meet performance and quality expectations.

The best candidates also have:

  • Working knowledge in manufacturing engineering.
  • Welding process knowledge.
  • Emotional intelligence.

Additional Information:

  • Located in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León.

  • The work schedule is set Monday to Friday (7am-4pm).

  • This position will require traveling up to 10% domestic and internationally.

  • Domestic relocation is not offered.
