Customer Services Core Region (CSCR) is hiring a Senior Sales Support Consultant – Maintenance Management to help customers, dealers, and field teams improve maintenance outcomes through proactive strategies, technology adoption, and customer-focused solutions.

Role Summary:

In this role, you will serve as a regional consultant and subject matter expert, helping customers identify maintenance challenges, adopt scalable solutions, and move from reactive practices to more planned, connected, and proactive maintenance approaches. You will partner closely with customers, dealers, and Caterpillar teams to strengthen engagement, support aftermarket growth, and improve long-term customer value.

What You Will Do (Job Duties):

  • Assess customer maintenance practices and identify opportunities to improve uptime, performance, and overall maintenance outcomes.

  • Develop and scale customer-focused maintenance solutions through dealers and field teams.

  • Use customer, operational, and market insights to recommend practical actions that drive business results.

  • Support adoption of maintenance solutions, digital tools and best practices across the region.

  • Partner with sales, product, industry, dealer, and field teams to improve customer engagement and execution.

  • Provide coaching, training, and guidance to help teams deliver consistent, customer-focused solutions.

  • Present recommendations, business cases, and progress updates to company and dealer leadership.

Effective Communications: Communicates clearly across customers, dealers, and internal teams, tailoring messages to influence decisions and support alignment.

Business Development: Identifies growth opportunities and supports strategies that expand customer engagement, aftermarket solutions, and long-term value.

Value Selling: Connects customer needs to solutions by clearly communicating value, benefits, and business impact.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Experience in sales, customer support, product support, maintenance management, project management, or related fields.

  • Strong customer focus with the ability to translate needs into practical business solutions.

  • Experience with equipment, maintenance programs, service operations, or aftermarket support.

  • Knowledge of maintenance management, reliability practices, or connected equipment technologies.

  • Ability to influence teams, lead change, and drive adoption of new solutions.

  • Demonstrated success improving customer outcomes and supporting business growth.

Additional Details

  • Preferred location: Peoria, IL

  • Additional locations: Dallas, TX; Cary, NC

  • Onsite requirement: 5 days per week

  • Travel: Up to 50% domestic

  • Candidates relocating to Peoria, IL are eligible for relocation assistance.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
