Job Summary:

This job is for a Senior Project Team Lead position on the Site Connectivity team. This position will closely engage with a wide variety of engineering teams as it relates to machine and product connectivity and evaluate project scope, estimate delivery times, manage resources and report on progress and deliverables. You will be expected to collaborate with marketing, component, machine systems, and global software teams to meet customer expectations.

What You Will Do:

  • Leading meetings within the team and with partner organizations to address program level issues, scope change requests, program work plans, program cost tracking and provide workshop planning, execution and follow-up as needed.
  • Creating dashboards for programs that detail project plan date attainment status.
  • Directing project staffing; motivating and developing project team members
  • Coordinating of verification and validation of software
  • Coach software development engineers (C++)
  • Working with team members and peers to emphasize the importance of the program schedule to be successful in implementing on time, with in cost, and at the required quality targets including sprint planning and retrospective meetings & technical program sessions

What skills you will have:

  • Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
  • Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Consideration for Top Candidates: (Preferred)

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Extensive experience in software development and architecture (C++)
  • Knowledge and capability in the areas of SD-WAN, wireless link bonding, load balancing, network coding

  • This position requires the candidate to work full-time in Mossville, IL (Peoria)
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $240,110.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
