With over 1.5 million connected assets worldwide, our teams use data, technology, advanced analytics, telematics, and AI capabilities to help our customers build a better, more sustainable world.

Role Summary

If you are passionate about helping customers confidently identify, evaluate, and purchase the right parts, and want to shape experiences that directly influence customer trust and conversion, this is the opportunity for you.

Caterpillar is looking for an experienced Product Manager to own our Product Details & Parts Solutions experiences across the eCommerce journey. This role is responsible for the experiences customers rely on to verify they have found the right part and understand how it fits into a broader repair or maintenance need.

You will own key customer-facing capabilities that help customers evaluate, validate, and purchase the right part, including Product Detail Pages (PDPs), 2D parts diagrams, 3D parts models, Planned Maintenance Kits, and Small Repair solution experiences.

Your focus is ensuring customers have the information, tools, and visual guidance needed to make informed decisions. You will partner closely with Engineering, UX, Product Information, Catalog Experience, and business stakeholders to continuously improve how customers identify parts, understand compatibility, and complete purchases with confidence.

This role focuses on the customer experience layer and works in close partnership with Product Information, Catalog Experience, and other teams that own underlying content, catalog structures, and business data.

Success in this role requires strong customer empathy, product judgment, and the ability to translate complex customer problems into scalable solutions that improve confidence, conversion, and purchase accuracy.

What You Will Do

  • Own the Product Details & Parts Solutions roadmap, focused on increasing customer confidence and purchase accuracy

  • Improve Product Detail Pages to help customers better understand products, specifications, compatibility, and key purchase considerations

  • Lead the evolution of 2D parts diagrams and 3D parts models to improve part identification and selection

  • Enhance Planned Maintenance Kit and Small Repair experiences to simplify common maintenance and repair workflows

  • Identify and resolve customer pain points that create uncertainty, hesitation, or incorrect part selection

  • Translate customer behavior, data insights, and stakeholder input into clear, prioritized product improvements

  • Partner with Engineering and UX teams to deliver intuitive experiences that help customers validate their purchasing decisions

  • Lead the end-to-end scrum process, setting a clear agenda for engineering and UX partners while driving alignment with stakeholders to move initiatives forward

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Customers can confidently verify they have selected the correct part before purchase

  • Key metrics such as conversion, interaction with validation tools, and purchase accuracy demonstrate measurable improvement.

  • Increased use of diagrams, 3D models, and supporting tools to aid decision-making

  • Higher first-time purchase accuracy and fewer incorrect selections

  • Planned Maintenance Kit and Small Repair experiences are easy to understand and use

  • Customers have greater confidence completing maintenance and repair-related purchases

  • The backlog reflects real customer needs and opportunities to improve confidence and conversion
