About the Role:

The role ensures products meet Caterpillar specifications and promotes quality-focused culture across various departments. As a Quality Manager, the incumbent oversees a team, handling planning, training, performance evaluations, and personnel issues. They collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including global quality teams and suppliers. Responsibilities include employee development, problem-solving, and implementing solutions to meet key quality goals such as customer satisfaction, process efficiency, and certification standards.

What You Will Do

• Manage Metrology assets to ensure process and material quality across operations and supplier quality.
• Implement digital measurement and gage traceability to improve accuracy and reduce inspection errors.
• Implement global quality tools and processes, including APQP, PPAP, and MQ11005/MQ12005, aligned with CPS.
• Create a five-year CMM laboratory roadmap aligned with demand and business needs.
• Lead capital projects supporting departmental growth and long-term objectives.
• Manage quality plans, audits, and reporting to meet Caterpillar and QS9000 standards.
• Analyze inspection data, report defects, and drive continuous improvement across production.
• Serve as the customer quality contact, managing feedback, rework, and shop-floor issues.

Degree Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or any related engineering degree.
• Expert in Quality
• English Advanced

• Knowledgeable in the processes, tools, and techniques associated with Quality Risk Management.
• Able to execute quality assurance processes including risk assessment, control, communication, and review to safeguard product quality.

Lean Manufacturing

• Understands the philosophy, principles, and implementation strategies of lean manufacturing.
• Capable of integrating lean methodologies into existing production and management systems.

Relationship Management:

• Responds promptly and effectively to client requests and interactions.
• Regularly monitors client satisfaction and alerts the team to emerging concerns.
• Clarifies roles and responsibilities within business relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expert leading a Six Sigma project.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of and expertise programming CMM machines.
• Knowledge of emerging metrology technologies.
• Ability to collaborate with operations and supplier quality teams.

Additional Information:

• Location: Cienega de Flores, Nuevo Leon.
• This position is six-day a week in-office model.
• This position will require travelling 10% working time (Domestic and International).
• Valid Travel Visa and Passport
