Job Title: Technical Trainer

Salary: starting salary £29,900 rising to £30,400 when role objectives are met

Contracts: 1 x Full time & and permanent and 2 x contract 12 Months

Location: Desford, Leicestershire

The Opportunity:

As we implement our Global Leader Profile (GLP), the Technical Trainer will play a key role in developing the capability of our production workforce. Working closely with employees across our Value Streams, you will deliver training, coaching and support that enables individuals to perform safely, confidently and to the required standards.

Through a combination of one-to-one coaching, group training and practical development activities, you will help employees build the skills and knowledge needed to meet business expectations while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

What you will do:

As a Technical Trainer, you are accountable for, but not limited to:

  • Support new hires and internal transfers to achieve the required 75% skills matrix standard through structured training and coaching.

  • Facilitate technical training programmes, assessments and development initiatives across our Value Streams.

  • Create and maintain training aids, work instructions and learning resources with a strong focus on safety, quality and operational excellence.

  • Promote best practices, evaluate competency levels and provide constructive feedback to support ongoing development.

  • Deliver Job Instruction Training (JIT), maintain accurate training records and provide ongoing support to apprentices and trainees.

What You Can Demonstrate:

  • Communication: Able to deliver clear, engaging training and coaching, translating technical information into practical guidance that supports learning, competence and safe working practices.

  • Adaptability: Adjusts training methods and coaching styles to meet different learning needs, helping individuals develop confidence and capability in their role.

  • Problem Solving: Identifies skills gaps, training challenges and performance barriers, using a practical approach to implement solutions and improve learning outcomes.

  • Self-Motivation: Takes ownership of training activities, manages priorities effectively and builds positive working relationships to support individual and team development.

What You May Have:

  • Training & Development: Proven ability to deliver effective training and coaching, adapting your approach to meet different learning needs and support successful knowledge transfer.
