Role Definition
Our team is focused on evolving the state of the art and bringing emerging automation & autonomy technology into the harsh production environments found on typical mining and construction jobsites. As an Autonomy Engineer focusing on autonomous mining trucks, you’ll collaborate with team members to develop new autonomous truck models and features that provide critical value to our customers. Every day you will work with your team to solve real world problems by selecting the right approach and bringing those solutions to production. Responsibilities

• Own and lead autonomous hauling capabilities and improvement projects
• Design and implement autonomous machine capabilities from requirements to production
• Collaborate within the hauling team, with process partners, and with SMEs to identify and evaluate potential solutions.
• Document designs and break work down into team deliverables
• Coordinate delivery of improvements through development, validation, field trials, and into production.
• Estimate time and cost to enable prioritization and project management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system level issues found in development, validation, or production.

What you will have:

• Technical Excellence: Knowledge of and experience with autonomous or robotics technology and associated application methods; ability to design and deliver solutions to significant technical challenges.
• Product Design/Architecture: Knowledge of product design; ability to convert customer needs into product design.
• Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
• Effective Communications: Understanding and application of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques.
• Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning

Top candidates will have:

• Bachelors degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum
• Strong collaboration and organization skills.
• Ability to contribute to multiple complex projects, meeting timelines and deliverables
• Experience leading technology projects
• Strong foundation in mathematics and engineering fundamentals
• Development or System Engineering experience in autonomy, robotics, or related industries

Additional Details:

• This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Dallas, TX office.
• Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

Summary Pay Range:
