Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Identity & Access Management (IAM) Lead _Lead Technology Specialist to join Infrastructure Services -CAT IT Division

The Identity & Access Management (IAM) Lead is responsible for leading the daily execution of Identity and Access Management operations while providing technical guidance and operational oversight to a team of IAM analysts and engineers. This role serves as a subject matter expert across identity governance, access administration, privileged access management, authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle processes.

The IAM Lead works closely with the IAM Manager, cybersecurity teams, infrastructure teams, application owners, and business stakeholders to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient delivery of IAM services. The position combines technical expertise, team leadership, process governance, and continuous improvement responsibilities to support enterprise cybersecurity objectives

The preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield PSN Office, Bangalore -KA

What you will do

IAM Operations & Service Delivery

Lead day-to-day IAM operational activities including:

  • User provisioning and deprovisioning
  • Joiner, mover, and leaver (JML) processes
  • Access requests and approvals
  • Access certifications and periodic reviews
  • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
  • Identity lifecycle management
  • Authentication and authorization services
    • Monitor IAM service queues and ensure timely processing of requests in accordance with SLAs.
    • Manage escalation and resolution of IAM-related incidents and service issues.
    • Partner with application and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot access-related challenges.
    • Ensure compliance with established access management procedures and controls.

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for IAM technologies, processes, and controls.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to IAM analysts and engineers.
  • Review and validate complex access requests, role assignments, and privileged access activities.
  • Support IAM platform administration, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Assist in evaluating and implementing IAM enhancements, upgrades, and new technologies.
  • Drive standardization of IAM processes and operational procedures.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Support access governance activities including certification campaigns, segregation of duties reviews, and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, risk, compliance, and audit teams to address findings and remediation activities.
  • Ensure execution of IAM controls in accordance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining IAM documentation, procedures, standards, and control evidence.
  • Identify control gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen access governance.

Continuous Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual IAM processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support IAM modernization initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Assist in developing workflows, role models, access governance processes, and reporting capabilities.
  • Participate in defining IAM operational metrics, dashboards, and service performance indicators.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance security, user experience, and operational effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a primary point of contact for IAM operational activities and escalations.
  • Collaborate with business units, application owners, HR, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.
  • Communicate issues, risks, and operational status to IAM leadership.
  • Support stakeholder education and adoption of IAM policies, standards, and best practices.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day direction and work prioritization for IAM analysts and engineers.
  • Assist the IAM Manager with workload planning and resource allocation.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of team members.
  • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and promote technical skill development.
  • Act as a backup to the IAM Manager when required.

What you will have

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management, Cybersecurity, or Information Security.
  • 6+ years of experience leading technical teams, projects, or IAM operational functions.

    • Experience supporting IAM operations in large enterprise environments.
    • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office.
  • Shift Timing:06:00PM -03:00AM IST(US Shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as Security+, SC-300, CISSP, CISM, CIAM, or other IAM-related certifications.

Hands-on experience with:

  • SailPoint
  • Saviynt
  • CyberArk
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Okta
  • Ping Identity
  • BeyondTrust or other PAM solutions

  • Experience with IAM automation, workflow development, and integration technologies.
  • Experience supporting audit and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Experience working within Agile and product-oriented operating models.
  • Experience supporting global enterprises and geographically distributed teams.
