As a Trainer at North Little Rock Caterpillar, you will conduct OTJ (on the job) training audits and deliver technical and functional training for new hire classes for the North Little Rock facility.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Deliver various fabrication training modules (safety, technical, etc.) for new hire training
• Assist in development of training material(s) and maintain all training records
• Serve as a liaison between new hires and sections managers to ensure the training process is consistent
• Assist the production floor with additional coaching/training of current welders
• An understanding of the North Little Rock business, the ability to work with others across departments, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency and a positive attitude will be essential to success in this position
• Ability to effectively communicate with others that do not have a previous fabrications background
• Must be available to flex across all shifts and work overtime during the week and occasionally on weekends to meet customer needs
Basic Qualifications
• Must have 5 years of welding experience including GMAW, SMAW, FCAW and GTAW
• Must be able to pass all Production and Salvage welding test requirements within 6 months
• Minimum of 1 year in current role
• Not in the disciplinary process
• Strong people and leadership skills to develop new hire existing skill set
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in order of importance
• Proven independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities to complete job tasks
• Intermediate level of computer proficiency and with Microsoft office apps (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
• Resume REQUIRED
Top Candidates will also have
• Experience in reading and interpreting AWS welding symbols
• 2-3 years of Manufacturing Experience preferred
• Previous training/instructor or teaching experience with preference to candidates acquiring these skills in a manufacturing environment
• Proven communication and organizational skills
Additional Information
Shift: 1st shift. May work 2nd and 3rd as business needs dictate.
Core Hours: 7am – 3pm but work as business needs dictate.

Summary Pay Range:
$25.75 - $32.95Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
