The Senior HR Manager – Wear & Maintenance Components Operations serves as a strategic business partner to global operations leadership, driving enterprise-aligned people strategies across six manufacturing facilities (union and non-union) in the US, Mexico and Korea worldwide. This role leads a team of HR professionals and is accountable for delivering high-impact solutions in employee relations, labor relations, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness. In addition this role also supports the ICD Central Supply Chain organization.
The Sr. HR Manager plays a critical role in shaping business performance by leveraging data-driven insights, strengthening leadership capability, and ensuring consistent application of HR policies, practices, and global employment laws. This position drives the integration of human capital strategy into core business decisions to enhance engagement, retention, and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, aligning HR strategy with operational and financial goals
- Influence business decisions through workforce insights, organizational design, and succession planning
Global HR Leadership
- Ensure consistent interpretation and execution of HR policies, labor agreements, and employment regulations globally
Labor & Employee Relations
- Provide expert guidance on labor relations, including collective bargaining support, grievance resolution, and investigations
- Partner with site leaders to proactively manage employee relations risks and maintain a positive work environment
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Leverage HR analytics (turnover, engagement, productivity) to identify trends and recommend actionable business solutions
- Translate data into compelling insights and executive-level recommendations
Talent & Workforce Planning
- Lead succession planning and workforce strategy
- Partner with leaders to enhance organizational effectiveness, career development, and leadership pipelines
Change Leadership
- Design and deploy change management strategies to support business transformation initiatives
- Drive adoption of HR programs, systems, and enterprise initiatives across regions
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Oversight
- Provide strategic direction for production and management hiring efforts
- Ensure effective onboarding practices that improve retention and time-to-productivity
What You Will Have:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Talent Management : Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.
- Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
- Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.

- This position can be located in Peoria, IL or Irving, TX
- This role requires 5 days a week in office

Summary Pay Range:
$159,120.00 - $238,680.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
