Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Analyst Applications (Finance Analyst) to join Applications Development & Intelligence Automation -CAT IT Division
We are seeking a skilled Associate Applications Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to translate business requirements into comprehensive Functional Design Documents and effectively communicate technical details to developers. This role required to support the IT function with assisting in areas like development, testing and implementing application systems.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield PSN Office, Bangalore, India
What you will do
- Offer end-user support, resolve technical issues, and pinpoint ways to improve processes within Oracle EBS.
- Develop and implement custom Oracle solutions tailored to specific business needs, with a focus on enhancing financial reporting and operations.
- Carry out regular audits and reviews of Oracle system configurations to ensure they are accurate, compliant with accounting standards, and align with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
- Work closely with business teams by providing timely insights and analyses that help identify challenges and drive better financial results.
- Leverage automated tools to update, analyze, and report consolidated financial outcomes.
- Promote standardization, simplification, and greater efficiency across finance processes.
- Analyze and document new processes, business requirements, and products to ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to assess how changes and updates to Oracle financial systems affect the organization.
- Support the testing and validation of Oracle system enhancements, patches, and new releases.
- Coordinate with IT and various business units to facilitate Oracle Financial deployments, development efforts, and successful rollouts with strong user adoption.
What you will have
- Oracle EBS experience

- Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
- Strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and interpersonal skills
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent, and 6+ years of experience
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes Accounting:
- Systems Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of system analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
- Decision Making: making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Effective Communications: Understanding effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office.
