Role Definition
Research, develop, implement and monitor inventory management and distribution logistics systems, concepts and procedures for worldwide parts inventory and operations management.

The Supply Chain Services (SCS) group part of Product Support & Logistics Division currently has a job opening for a ‘DART EDI Coordinator - Logistics Analyst’ position located in Bangalore, India facility. 

Data Accuracy & Records Tracking (DART) Team Overview:

The Data Accuracy & Records Tracking (DART) being part of SCS group is responsible for seamless execution of critical processes for Caterpillar manufacturing facilities in the areas of New Product Introduction (NPI), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Electronic Data Interface (EDI), Shipping label and Analytics solutions. Supply Chain Services DART team delivers value by initiating and participating in business-critical projects and solutions. 

JOB PURPOSE :

This position is responsible to support Supply Chain Planning activities in coordination with facility supply chain management team for successful execute material management, engineering & analytical processes for Decatur production facility.

Responsibilities
•    Deliver high performing production systems and efficient, accurate, secure, and accessible data to support analytics needs across Cat and Dealers.
•    Lead and support ERP conversion projects in testing and onboarding dealers/vendors.
•    Develop automated processes to aid in data cleansing and maintenance using analytical tools.
•    Develop and test new reporting tools, following standards and best practices.
•    Analyze & manage engineering release and change notices, coordinating with suppliers & other supply chain partners to ensure on time material availability for prime product requirement.
•    Collaborate with suppliers for on time availability and assist in ensuring material readiness for achieving facility availability goal
•    Analyze and escalate issues to meet part requirements for production. This may involve working with various groups including global purchasing, material planners, service engineers, and product group collaboration meetings. 
•    Managing material movement within the facilities processes.
•    Management of NCM process with effective RCCA development
•    Collaborate with Buyers to provide information for successful PO launches


Degree Requirement

  • Degree or equivalent experience desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce/science/engineering or equivalent degree

  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience in Supply chain management, Logistics, 3PL, Warehousing, Service parts Logistics.

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Tools: Knowledge of electronic data interchange tools; ability to design, implement and maintain tools and facilities in order to establish a computer-to-computer interchange of electronic data among organizations.
 Level Working Knowledge: 
•    Maps EDI data within appropriate applications; develops and test new maps.
•    Assists in the development of tools and techniques for electronic data interchange.
•    Adheres to electronic data interchange standards, policies and guidelines.
•    Operates main functions of electronic data interchange tools and facilities.
•    Compares different applications for use in different electronic data interchange situations.

Inventory Management: Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage organization's materials, commodities, merchandises, or products.
Level Working Knowledge: 
•    Performs the receiving, ticketing, checking in and distributing of inventory items for a specific location.
•    Produces basic inventory management reports for senior staff to reconcile the inventory balances.
•    Tracks inventory information for a specific product group or location.
•    Works with basic tasks of inventory management for a specific location.
•    Follows processes to take stock, release inventory or return into processing; resolves discrepancies.
