We have an exciting role open within Caterpillar’s Integrated Components and Solutions Division (ICS) for an FP&A Senior Manager. In this role, you will be an essential partner and financial advisor to the Vice President of Engineering for Machine and Machine Systems, the Vice Presidents of Product Management for Electronics, Engines and Engine Systems, as well as Hydraulics, and the Director of Business Development for the OEM Solutions organization within ICS. You will manage a team of up to 12 accounting and finance professional in the U.S. as well as support personnel in the Analytics Center of Excellence in India.

You and your team will support a global team of more than 1,700 engineering professionals with responsibilities for ICS advanced engineering, development, and implementation of ICS’s worldwide systems design, development and validation. This is a great opportunity to support management of global engineering strategies, productivity and efficiency performance, and execution of the division's strategy working with high-performing engineering systems and suppliers.  This role will also provide financial support to Caterpillar’s global OEM Solutions organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsibility for budgeting of research and engineering (R&E) activities as well as analysis of actual results. Your team will also support R&E systems capturing our R&D cost across various new product introduction (NPI) programs.
  • Responsibility for analysis of actuals results of material cost as well as forecasting of ICS’s material cost into the future periods. You will also work with a team of purchasing professionals to track material cost reduction initiatives and their impact on ICS’s results.  The role will also likely include sourcing studies and special projects.
  • Participate and lead several Global Finance Services transformation workstreams, especially in the area of the Analytics Center of Excellence.
  • Support and shape the OEM Solutions enterprise strategy.
  • Support the recording of the CTCT and 10G joint venture performance for Caterpillar.
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures providing guidance to others in the business.

What You Have:

  • Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Financial Forecasting and Modeling: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline
  • Progressively Accounting or Finance experience, including cost accounting and budget development
  • CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred
  • Previous experience supporting manufacturing operations

Summary Pay Range:

$169,320.00 - $253,920.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
