Role Definition
Manages employees that are responsible for projects, development teams and application or infrastructure support or operations functions within the data platform and technologies team along with the following disciplines:

Custom Application Area: MS Power Platform, Java Applications and Streamlit

Accountability for Middleware Team: Real time integrations (API and Web Services), file transfer

Responsibilities
•    Oversee application programming and analysis projects which include development, installation and maintenance of application programs.
•    Maximize staff contribution through professional growth and development, to increase teamwork and more effectively meet business needs.
•    Analyze and provide strategy regarding applications or infrastructure to ensure that all systems that are developed, meet business needs and specifications.
•    Monitor and maintain adherence and compliance to cybersecurity and quality standards on an ongoing basis.
•    Responsible for expense and capital budgets.
•    Monitors and communicates vendor effectiveness, reliability, and performance.
•    Builds and maintains relationships with key internal business partners.

•    Coaches the staff on industry cyber security standards and recommended practices. 
•    Collaborates organization-wide to develop strategies for measuring good security practices and compliance. 
•    Consults on development and implementation of cross-functional standards and policies. 
•    Oversees the development of organizational cybersecurity policies and standards. 
•    Partners with other functions on establishing and documenting joint standards. 
•    Monitors the implementation of cybersecurity standards and polices in projects or services. 

Budget Management: Knowledge of the principles and methodology of budget management; ability to utilize the tools, techniques and procedures needed to establish and monitor budgets.
 Level Extensive Experience: 
•    Analyzes budgets for patterns and causes of budgeting inaccuracies.
•    Teaches others the details of and rationale behind organization's budget cycles.
•    Participates in establishing procedures for planning, implementing and monitoring budgets.
•    Supervises budget management activities across multiple departments or functions.

•    Works with capital budgets, operating budgets and cash budgets.

Summary Pay Range:

$135,240.00 - $237,564.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
