Job Description:

Your Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc.

When you join Caterpillar, you're joining a global team who cares not just about the work we do – but also about each other. We are the makers, problem solvers, and future world builders who are creating stronger, more sustainable communities. We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.

Role Summary:

If you are passionate about improving how customers understand and choose the right parts and want to shape how product information drives real business outcomes, this is the opportunity for you.

Caterpillar is looking for an experienced Product Manager to own the Parts Catalog Experience across the eCommerce journey. This role sits at the center of how customers understand, compare, and select parts, directly impacting conversion, purchase accuracy, and customer confidence.

You will be responsible for how product information is structured, presented, and delivered across the catalog, including how it flows from our Product Information Management (PIM) systems into downstream platforms, most critically parts.cat.com (PCC) as the primary customer-facing digital experience.

Your focus is to ensure customers can clearly understand what they are looking at and confidently select the right part. This includes improving how parts are organized, differentiated, and made relevant across markets and use cases.

You will work across multiple systems and teams and must be relentless in driving alignment and progress. Success in this role requires the ability to bring together stakeholders from engineering, product, data, and business teams to drive meaningful change and measurable outcomes in complex and dependent environments.

What you will do:

  • Own the Parts & Catalog Experience roadmap, focused on helping customers clearly understand products and choose the right part

  • Improve how product information is organized, grouped, and differentiated so customers can quickly identify what is relevant to their need

  • Ensure product information flows reliably from PIM into parts.cat.com (PCC), with consistency and accuracy across systems

  • Translate customer confusion, data insights, and stakeholder input into clear, prioritized product improvements

  • Drive resolution of issues that impact purchase accuracy, decision speed, and customer confidence

  • Ensure catalog experiences support regional and multi-language needs, so customers see relevant and understandable information

  • Lead the end‑to‑end scrum process, setting a clear agenda for engineering and UX partners while driving alignment with stakeholders to drive progress

Success in this role looks like:

  • Customers can confidently choose the right part with minimal friction

  • Conversion improves across catalog and browsing experiences

  • Fewer customers struggle to understand products before reaching the product detail page

  • Cross-team work stays aligned and progresses consistently

  • The backlog reflects real customer problems

What you will have:

Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users.

Consideration for top candidates:

  • Experience owning eCommerce product or catalog-driven product experience with accountability for how customers find, understand, and select products

  • Experience in product management, eCommerce, or related digital roles

  • Proven ability to own a product area end-to-end and deliver measurable outcomes

  • Strong experience working with engineering teams in scrum/agile environments, including shaping backlogs to deliver meaningful customer outcomes

  • Experience working with product catalogs, product data, or content-driven systems

  • Ability to operate across multiple systems and understand data flow between them

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Proven ability to work independently and drive progress in complex environments

  • Experience helping customers choose the right product the first time

  • Experience working with PIM, eCommerce platforms, and data pipelines

  • Experience working in global or multi-market catalog environments

  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate complex, cross-team initiatives to completion

  • Ability to translate customer confusion into clear, actionable product improvements

  • Comfort operating in ambiguous environments with multiple dependencies

What You Will Get:

Working with a Fortune 100 leader, you can build your career on a global scale and take advantage of development opportunities with emerging technologies. We’ve created an inclusive environment for you to explore your passions, make an impact and do the work that really matters. Join Us.
