Join our team as a technical lead, specializing in pricing analytics. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Microsoft Power BI and Snowflake to develop pricing intelligence solutions in partnership with the central analytics team. You will also support industry pricing consultants by identifying and implementing process automation opportunities and will help uplift the team’s capabilities in AI-enabled analysis. What You Will Do:

  • Leverage enterprise data warehouses, ERP platforms, and specialized datasets to deliver accurate insights through advanced analytics, reporting, and automation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain solutions using (but not limited to):
    • Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
    • SQL-based data models and curated/semantic data sources
    • Python-based automation, analysis, or reporting (as applicable)
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and maintainability standards.
  • Partnering with central analytics team in solution design reviews and implementation of solutions

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to evaluate tradeoffs, analyze complex scenarios, and make sound recommendations based on data and business context.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts, insights, and recommendations to diverse audiences through written, verbal, and visual formats.
  • Negotiation: Ability to negotiate effectively across the organization and with external vendors/clients in a constructive, collaborative manner.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to build trust, establish credibility, and maintain productive working relationships with clients, vendors, and cross-functional partners.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Experience supporting reporting, analytics, and/or automation initiatives in a business environment.
  • Working knowledge of Python and core data science concepts (e.g., data wrangling, statistical reasoning, model evaluation)
  • Understanding of finance and operations business processes (e.g., pricing, margin, cost drivers, demand signals)
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Project management skills, including scoping, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization

Additional Information:

  • This position is located in Mossville, IL or Irving, TX
  • Relocation is provided for those who qualify

  • Requires Onsite 5 days a week

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
