Job Summary.

In this role, you will be troubleshooting and Skid Steer Loaders (SSLs) and Compact Track Loader (CTLs) around the world with Caterpillar dealers. In addition, you will help with the identification of new issues and improve quality.

What you will do:

  • Troubleshooting of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, structures, and general mechanical systems.

  • Working with Caterpillar dealers around the world and sometimes directly with customers to get machines up and running.

  • Working with Service Engineers, 6 Sigma Black Belts, and Engineers to resolve product problems, develop solutions, and improve product designs.

  • Reviewing service data to determine if a problem is emerging.

  • Initiating service publications to provide updates on issues to Caterpillar dealers.

  • Pro-actively manage parts stocking levels at the worldwide distribution centers.

What you will have:

Technical Expertise and Problem-Solving: Technical competency, high mechanical, and experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and general mechanical systems. This is a core skill to efficiently troubleshoot machines with dealers to get customer machines back up and running.

Effective communication: Ability to effectively communicate with customers, dealers, engineers, facility assembly technicians, etc. This is required since this role will be working with Caterpillar employees and Caterpillar Dealers around the world.

Service Excellence: Respond to customer requests with urgency and positive action. Provide service that customers (internal and external) will describe as excellent and with resolutions in a timely manner. These skills will improve customer satisfaction and improve machine quality as well.

Basic requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

- Pre-Advanced English.

Top candidates will also have:

- Design engineering work experience.

- Experience troubleshooting and repairing SSLs or other construction equipment.

- Experience working with Caterpillar dealers.

- Strong communication skills.

- Up to 15% travel is required

Note: This position requires the candidate to work on-site five days a week.
