The Corporate Treasury team is looking for a talented and motivated Senior Manager to lead Caterpillar’s Treasury Planning & Reporting team.  This role provides counsel to treasury / finance management in the areas of cash forecasting and liquidity planning, strategic capital planning, cash deployment and cash conversion cycle, as well as coordinating executive office and board reporting. The Senior Manager of Planning and Reporting position is a unique opportunity to be an integral member of a global finance organization and a leader of a high performing team that has a major impact on the Enterprise.

Primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing leadership and vision to diverse and high performing team
  • Assessing existing and proposed financial plans and policies to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's financial administration
  • Identifying areas of opportunity and concern and bringing significant variances with supporting detail to the attention of management
  • Analyzing complex financial data and developing actionable business insights
  • Leading strategy for cash forecasting and driving process optimization
  • Leading cash deployment/capital allocation planning process, including executive recommendations and preparation of material for board meetings
  • Managing enterprise liquidity planning
  • Monitoring working capital and cash conversion cycle and recommending improvements to drive greater cash flow
  • Typical internal customers include the Vice President & Treasurer, Assistant Treasurers, Regional Treasurers, and global business unit leaders

The skills required for this role include:

  • Expert understanding of the value and necessities of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with a high level of precision
  • Extensive knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding
  • Extensive experience in decision making processes and associated tools/techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of relationship management techniques
  • Extensive experience in effective team building techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of the products, types, competitors, customer base, major issues and regulatory considerations in the financial markets
  • Extensive experience with principals and methods of managing treasury tools, techniques and processes
  • Working knowledge of asset and liability management tools, techniques and business practices

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business administration
  • 7 or more years of progressively responsible finance-related experience
  • Prior direct leadership experience
  • Experience advising senior leaders within an enterprise and working among industry peers
  • The ability to deal with sensitive issues, mentor and develop others
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Working knowledge of forecasting processes and methodologies, working capital management and cash deployment

  • Location: Irving, TX
  • Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

  • Up to 25% travel is expected
  • Flexible work environment with hybrid approach of both in-person and online work
