Role:
Schedules, plans and oversees material procurement, production and delivery processes.
What you'll do:
- Participates in scheduling production and delivery processes in accordance with current productivity and cost efficiency standards.
- Develops and executes material planning for a product line to ensure that all material requirements for assigned programs are met within the allocated time frame.
- Organizes the flow of materials within the manufacturing unit and the transferring of materials to and from the inventory or warehouse.
- Generates forecasts and manages replenishment planning for parts and materials to ensure specified service levels are met.
Education required:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- English (Intermediate- Advance)
Below are some of the most important skills that are required in this position:
Materials Requirements Planning (MRP)
- 5 years of background in Supply Chain, with a focus on material planning and/or transportation and logistics operations.
- Advanced knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, including MM and PP modules in SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of inventory management and material flow planning to ensure material availability and uninterrupted operations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and material planning activities.
Problem Solving
- Proficiency in problem-solving and root cause analysis methodologies, including 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, RCCA, A3, and continuous improvement tools.
- Ability to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve operational performance.
- Capability to analyze data and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
Transportation
- Knowledge of transportation, traffic, and logistics processes within a supply chain environment.
- Understanding of the types, purpose, and use of shipping and transportation documents.
Relationship Management
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers, carriers, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong supplier negotiation skills to support material availability, service performance, and business objectives.
- Ability to monitor and follow up on supplier accounts payable activities to support uninterrupted supply.
- Ability to prepare and present management and executive reports for effective communication and decision-making.
Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP)
- Knowledge of material distribution planning processes to support inventory targets and customer demand requirements.
- Ability to coordinate replenishment activities and material availability across the supply chain network.
Considerations for the best candidates:
- Knowledge of Power BI for data analysis, dashboard creation, and reporting.
- Ability to manage and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- 3 years in similar Supply Chain, Material Planning, or Logistics roles.
- Ability to perform supplier order accrual reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial and operational records.
