Role Definition:

This position is within Caterpillar’s Large Power Systems Division providing leadership regarding developing local production and new source introduction for advanced high-pressure fuel systems. You will join a diverse team supporting fuel injector design engineering for new & existing engine applications. This role requires a hands-on presence and offers experience in testing, detailed design, structural and hydraulic analysis, and supplier resiliency development.

Job responsibilities will Include but are not limited to:

• Assignments are project oriented and incorporate knowledge of current technology as well as an understanding of the entire design and production process.
• Collaborate with internal & external partners on current and future support needs.
• Provide technical leadership to Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales, Service and other areas.
• Assist supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and performance.
• Research new materials and production processes. Organize, coordinate, and execute the building, testing, and analysis of production samples.
• Participate in and support proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Develop strong product knowledge and a deep understanding of product function and performance characteristics to effectively lead product maintenance initiatives.
• Develop and document functional requirements and translate them into detailed design and production documents. Participate in buy-build analysis for product components.
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering or Materials Science curriculum

Top Candidates Will Have:

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• Proficient English level
