3rd Shift: Mon-Fri 10:15 PM - 6:15 AM
3rd Shift Pay: $26.75/hour (+ 8% shift premium)

As Welder 3 (CI Tech) at Caterpillar you will:
Quick repairs on production line equipment
Implement safety measures
Work with fabrication technicians, manufacturing planners, and manufacturing engineers on improvement projects.
Follow and utilize CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work.
Assist with resolution of CI cards.
Help provide tooling support to the line, including welding, fabrication, assembly, and/or Machining.
Utilizes systems such as Microsoft Office such as Teams, PowerPoint, etc.
Once trained, utilizes 2D and/or 3D modeling software and CNC router/plasma software
Able to MIG, TIG, and stick weld to support various projects
Able to machine components using manual mill and lathe
Relies on independent decision-making and problem solving to complete job tasks
Cross-functional communication to complete tasks
Ability to multitask and prioritize work
Must meet deadlines.
Prioritize safety
Work independently with limited supervision
Contributing team member
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Basic Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a Manufacturing or shop environment
Prior experience with welding, fabrication, and machining
Must currently be at least in a Welder II position
Top Candidates will also have:
Mechanical experience such as tool design, auto/home repair, etc.
Prior experience programming a CNC router/plasma table
Prior experience using a mill and/or lathe
Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
Prior experience using 2D and/or 3D modeling software and the ability to read blueprints.
Prior experience using 3D printer

Summary Pay Range:
$26.75 - $33.45Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
