Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.

As a Manager Procurement Solutions, you will be responsible for delivering business solutions that are globally effective and applicable to support the execution of the procurement vision and strategy.


Additional Information:

  • This role is located in Morton IL and does not offer relocation.
  • This role is 1st shift, Monday – Friday.
  • This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
  • This role requires up to 10% domestic or international travel

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and support a team of individual contributors responsible for transportation procurement processes, systems, and strategic initiatives.

  • Manage end-to-end design, development, and implementation of transportation procurement solutions by partnering with stakeholders to gather business requirements, voice of the customer (VOC), and voice of the business (VOB) feedback.

  • Drive strategic transportation sourcing initiatives with suppliers, influencing outcomes and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with Transportation Operations to optimize transportation procurement activities and improve operational efficiency.

  • Ensure team compliance with transportation purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices while identifying opportunities to mitigate risk.

  • Maintain and enhance Power BI reporting and dashboards to support business performance tracking, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Oversee master data management activities, including the integration and maintenance of data between Salesforce and Blue Yonder systems.

  • Support and optimize Blue Yonder processes by ensuring accurate procurement and transportation data flows across systems.

  • Develop, standardize, and implement best practices, tools, training materials, and service offerings that improve consistency and operational effectiveness.

  • Drive adoption of new processes, systems, and tools while identifying opportunities for simplification, standardization, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead projects focused on lean processes, market insights, transportation procurement capabilities, and system enhancements.

  • Analyze business needs and recommend scalable solutions that improve service levels, supplier performance, and overall transportation procurement effectiveness.

  • Build expertise in transportation technology platforms, including Blue Yonder, and leverage analytics to support strategic decision-making.


What You Have (Basic Requirements):

  • Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Business Intelligence: Knowledge of business intelligence; ability to utilize business processes and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data that helps the organization make better business decisions.

  • Category Management: Knowledge of category management within an organization's goods and services sector; ability to use this knowledge to analyze and improve the end-to-end procurement process and maximize business profitability.

  • Purchasing Tasks and Activities: Knowledge of policies, regulations and processes of purchasing; ability to use practices and procedures for procurement of materials, components, equipment and services.

What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Skills):

  • 5+ years of transportation procurement, logistics, supply chain, or transportation operations experience.
  • Expertise in transportation processes, systems, and operational best practices.
  • Experience with Blue Yonder or similar transportation management platforms.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a solutions-first mindset.
  • Experience designing and implementing transportation or logistics process improvements.
  • Background in system solution design, process transformation, or operational optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes through expertise and collaboration.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
