As a Customer Quality Engineer, you will serve as the primary quality representative for assigned customers and lead customer quality management activities across the product lifecycle. You will independently drive customer issue resolution, lead cross-functional investigations, communicate directly with global customers, and leverage digital technologies to improve quality performance and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong customer-facing communication skills, advanced problem-solving capability, excellent English proficiency, and proven digitalization competence.

What You Will Do:

1. Customer Quality Management

  • Serve as the primary quality contact for assigned customers.
  • Lead customer complaint management and quality escalation processes.
  • Establish strong customer relationships and maintain customer confidence during quality issues.
  • Coordinate rapid containment and recovery actions for customer-impacting events.
  • Represent the Quality organization during customer visits, audits and business reviews.
  • Drive customer satisfaction improvement initiatives through proactive quality management.

2. Problem Solving & Root Cause Investigation

  • Lead cross-functional teams to investigate customer-reported issues.
  • Drive structured root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure effective containment, permanent corrective actions, and recurrence prevention.
  • Lead high-impact quality investigations involving Manufacturing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain and Service teams.
  • Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned and knowledge sharing.

3. Customer Communication & Executive Reporting

  • Independently conduct customer meetings and technical discussions.
  • Prepare and deliver professional investigation reports and closure presentations.
  • Communicate effectively with domestic and international customers.
  • Present quality performance, issue status and improvement actions to management and customers.
  • Translate customer expectations into internal improvement initiatives.

4. Data Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze customer complaint trends, failures modes and quality performance indicators.
  • Identify emerging risks and implement preventive actions.
  • Drive defect reduction and customer satisfaction improvement projects.
  • Support integration of customer feedback into production processes, PFMEA and Control Plans.

5. Digital Quality Transformation

  • Drive digital quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain quality dashboards and automated reporting systems.
  • Utilize AI and automation technologies to improve efficiency and data visibility.
  • Promote data-driven decision making across quality and operational teams.

2. English Requirement

Candidates must be able to independently lead customer quality review meetings in English. Write professional investigation reports and executive summaries in English.

3. Digital Capability Requirement

Candidates must demonstrate practical experience and proven achievements in Power BI dashboard development and Quality data analytics and visualization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, major in mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, power engineering, quality management, material engineering or other related majors is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing (automobiles, engines, machinery manufacturing, heavy equipment, etc.) Quality-related work experience, with client-side or process quality handling experience preferred.
  • Outstanding fresh graduates (Master or excellent undergraduate) with a solid professional foundation may also be considered.

Additional Information:

  • Strong sense of responsibility, proactive, and detail oriented. Strong ability to withstand pressure, able to adapt to fast pace and occasional emergencies. Honesty, integrity, and good work ethics. Able to adapt to short-term domestic customer business trips and support to solve quality problems on site.

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
