We are currently offering opportunities to join the Maintenance team as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer. The Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer role maintains and develops facility availability and uptime using tools such as TPM and fault analysis. You will fault find on electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits or mechanical systems. You will be involved with equipment calibration, working to a planned preventative maintenance schedule and liaising with the manufacturing departments to ensure equipment availability. The processes we are routinely involved with include CNC, NC and traditional metal cutting machines, automated and semi-automated cleaning and assembly equipment, site transport and lifting equipment. The team are also responsible for reacting to the needs of the business when equipment and systems fail and being involved in infrastructure maintenance. This is done whilst adhering to the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environmental protection.
During your career you will have gained
- NVQ Level 3 / Time served Apprentice in maintenance engineering with a qualification in Mechatronics or demonstrable equivalent through experience.
- A minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship experience in a similar role.
- General workshop skills.
- Experience with manufacturing production equipment.
- Experience of fault finding and diagnostics on PLC, Electrical, CNC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience in site infrastructure maintenance
Skills and Experience:
Gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
- Equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of using PLCs in fault diagnosis
- Be PC literate
- Working with power supply systems up to 440v
May have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
- Experience of site infrastructure maintenance
- Qualified to work at height and in confined spaces
- Have current experience of operating FLTs & Cranes
