To perform analytical tasks of SAP system in support of forecast for all the FTO components to procure materials and follow up on delivery to assure production running; independently manage CAT internal suppliers, manage jointly with Global Purchasing the external suppliers by developing delivery performance metrics, packaging requirement; track and control component inventory level through managing lot size quantity, lead time, buffer size to meet annual inventory turns goals.

Job Duties :

To perform analytical tasks of SAP system in support of forecast for all the FTO components to procure materials and follow up on delivery to assure production running; independently manage CAT internal suppliers, manage jointly with Global Purchasing the external suppliers by developing delivery performance metrics, packaging requirement; track and control component inventory level through managing lot size quantity, lead time, buffer size to meet annual inventory turns goals.

To coordinate and ensure material availability including, expediting, stock disposition, record grief resolution and source change decisions. Maintain and report out on daily and monthly metrics to Supply Chain Planning Manager.

This position coordinates the workload of Production Control Coordinator and performs special work dealing with ordering requirements, inventory systems implementation, maintenance, and expediting procedures.

Conducts special projects such as reviewing source delivery performance, past due schedules to recommend corrective action; analyze stock service and backorder quantities to determine root cause and corrective action; analyze transportation and premium freight cost to optimize freight efficiency.

Analyze data including supplier metrics reporting and internal system investigations to provide appropriate information. Main responsibilities (but not the only ones):

• creating schedules for suppliers based on the production plan,

• supervision over the correct implementation of the detail delivery schedule,

• supervision over the correct receipt of deliveries to the SAP system,

• organizing the transport of details from suppliers in terms of cost minimization,

• checking and substantive approval of transport invoices,

• inspections and inventory accounting - IRA, Inventory Turns,

• control of the circulation of special pallets sent to suppliers,

• settlement of the annual inventory of details in the warehouse,

• participation in the development and supervision of compliance with the PFEP process,

• participation in creating and following the instructions for packing details,

• participation in the creation and supervision of compliance with the FIFO process,

• participation in the creation and supervision over the observance of the Surplus & Obsolete material process,

• participation in the creation and supervision of compliance with the Customs process,

• supervision over the retail quote process at intercompany suppliers,

• ongoing analysis of safety stock and safety time,

• analysis and control of documents from customs clearance,

• component availability analysis and planning,

• solving griefs Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

Background/Experience:

• Knowledge of prime products and attachments

• Experience in product scheduling highly desired

• Minimum of 1-2 years of progressively more complex supply chain experience
