The Product Change Control engineer coordinates engineering releasing activities between engineering design areas and procurement/scheduling with effective and timely implementation.
Responsibilities
- Manages and tracks OHNR resolution associated with engineering change implementation and MISO demand if applicable for the change. Implement EMCC holds at time of initial release for scrap, rework, and exhaust stock dispositions.
- Monitor each new release and engineering change & manage effective dates per Engineering Drawing Notification instruction, part availability, & SOL date requirements.
- Develop actions and plans to address and resolve simple to moderately complex Releasing/EMCC problems in conjunction with Engineering and Job Owner.
- Support MCS release transactions for complex new release and engineering change strategy for strategic projects and processes including CAP (controlled alternative processes), capacity, and consolidation projects, NSI, NCI that involve make-buy and/or engineering change or new release activity. Based off collaboration from Job Owner, Engineering, and Project Leads.
- Leads activities with cross functional team leaders to ensure JRS sign-off is complete and Key Indicator Scorecard (KIS) Job Readiness deadlines met to facilitate material availability for new releases and engineering changes before job implementation.
- Analyze engineering drawing notices, DocLib, and engineering drawings and prints. Manage JRS, MCS, and EMCC systems accordingly.
- Input a high volume of Caterpillar MCS Station List system data entry: engineering changes, new releases, and closure of jobs with extreme accuracy, for production and NPI.
- Update STAT changes for model usage.
- Update ILC interplant source changes within the MCS system.
- Assists in initiating actions and plans to address and resolve simple to moderately complex Releasing/EMCC problems.
- Back date processing / Change Tracking System management.
- Work critical system grief reports.
- Assist in projects.
- Assist in standard work updates.

Summary Pay Range:
$81,370.00 - $122,060.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
