Role Definition :
Manages the day-to-day operations and effectiveness of cyber security teams as well as security-related programs and initiatives; assesses the costs associated with potential threats and solutions required to eliminate or minimize threats.

What You Will Do: 

  • Implements training on information security risk metrics, polices, risk migration and remediations, coordinate with business partners and suppliers on information security improvement.

  • Manage development, implementation and enforcement of organization-wide security initiatives and control.

  • Monitor and assess business needs against enterprise security policies and recommend necessary changes to enhance information systems security.

  • Champion talent development within the respective organization to maximize productivity of staff members.

What You Have:

Expertise in network security and operational technology (OT):

  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing network security measures and OT systems to protect critical infrastructure and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Budgeting:

  • Knowledge of organization's budget process; ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget

Planning: Tactical, Strategic:

  • Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

Talent Management:

  • Knowledge of the critical competencies required to achieve intended results; ability to generate consistent approaches for hiring, selection, retaining and leveraging talent across the organization.

Team Management:

  • Knowledge of effective team building techniques; ability to form and manage effective teams.

Information Technology (IT) Security Policies:

  • Knowledge of IT security policies, standards, and procedures; ability to utilize a variety of administrative skill sets and technical knowledge to ensure cyber security compliance.

Risk Management:

  • Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.

Cybersecurity:

  • Knowledge of network attacks and the defenses used; ability to defend and prevent electronic threats, theft, and attacks.

  • Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF & 800 series, COBIT, PCI-DSS or FAIR

  • CISSP, CISM, CRISC or other security related certification or ability and willingness to obtain within one year.

  • Experience developing, evaluating, or implementing cybersecurity, information technology, or risk assessment activities.

Additional Info :

  • The primary location for this position is Nashville, TN, Peoria, IL or Dallas, TX. You must be willing to work ONSITE 3 DAYS A WEEK.

Summary Pay Range:

$144,960.00 - $217,320.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
