Our  Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD)  is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters). 

As the Product Supply Network Lead you will lead the collaboration between Integrated Logistics Services (ILS) and other internal Caterpillar divisions, including, but not limited to, leadership meetings, development and execution of shared OPACC Improvement Agenda’s (OIA’s), facilitating resolution/communication related to urgent logistics incidents, support partner strategic initiatives needing transportation/logistics input, and general information sharing across the teams.

What You Will Do:

  • Represent the Voice of the Customer (VOC) and the Voice of ILS between divisions to drive strategic alignment, ensure mutual accountability and effective communication channels between organizations.
    • New initiatives and ideas by either organization (network changes, product or supply sourcing changes, tools/functionality).
    • Ensure appropriate support on partner and ILS initiatives.
    • Navigate hierarchies to connect partners and ILS functional expertise.
  • Develop strategic OIA’s between organizations to drive mutual focus and accountability towards goals.
  • Manage partner-focused, strategic-level projects and programs.
  • Engage organization leadership (Director-level and direct reports) in reviews on a regular cadence that focus on important/strategic initiatives and the current state of the business.
  • Coordinate ILS expertise and industry connections to provide partners with logistics benchmarking information.
  • Ensure logistics representation for Sourcing Councils and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.

    • Manages multiple high-risk, high-cost projects involving multiple stakeholders.

    • Monitors major projects for critical path and actual status versus planned.
    • Consults on project planning and management of high-risk, high-impact projects.
    • Monitors industry for fresh approaches and tools for project management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
