Caterpillar is looking to add a Learning and Development Specialist to our team in Peoria IL. This role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating learning and development courses and programs for Caterpillar IT division. You will have the exciting opportunity to assist in Leadership Development Programs, Employee Development, Technical Learning, and Learning & Development Communications and programs along with additional responsibilities supporting the Business Technologies, Digital, and Data function at Caterpillar.

What you will do:


•    Assisting in determining the learning needs of an organization's employees for identified professional and organizational development objectives.
•    Developing learning course or program communications, arranging logistics, and ensuring proper documentation for compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
•    Delivering of training sessions to maintain the focus on the business-identified learning objectives while ensuring an adult learner-centric approach.
•    Collaborating with others to design and implement training assessments on effectiveness application of learning; conducting assessments; and preparing evaluation reports.

What you will have:


Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Training Solution Development: Knowledge of training solution development procedures, tools and techniques; ability to utilize the knowledge for developing a solution to stated training needs.
