W hat You Will Do:

Role Definition:

  • Performs advanced inspection and audits to track, analyze, and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure conformance to company's quality standards.
  • Responsible for oversea supplier quality issue solving and quality improvement, frequently communicating with oversea supplier and internal partner.
     

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting measurement systems analysis; gathering, analyzing, and communicating non-conformance data.
    Analyzing non-conformance data and maintaining quality system documentation.
  • Participating in and offering technical support to internal and external audits; following up response of corrective action from audit.
  • Work in a team environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements.

Quality Assurance and Control:

  • Develop and implement quality inspection plans and inspection procedures for incoming materials and components, in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier performance through regular quality inspections, audits, and data analysis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Handle non-conforming materials and work with suppliers to resolve quality issues promptly, including root cause analysis, corrective action requests, and follow-up to ensure effective resolution.

Supplier Evaluation and Assessment:

  • Participate in the evaluation and assessment of suppliers, conducting on-site audits to assess their manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and overall capabilities to drive continuous improvement.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, serving as the main point of contact for quality-related matters.
  • Conduct regular meetings and communication with suppliers to review performance, share quality expectations, and provide feedback on improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with SDE and suppliers to drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as process optimization, the implementation of best practices.
     

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed quality records, reports, and documentation related to supplier quality, including audit reports, inspection results, and corrective action reports.
  • Provide regular updates to management on supplier quality performance, highlighting any significant issues or risks and proposing appropriate mitigation strategies.

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
  • Strong understanding of quality control tools and techniques, such as advanced product quality planning (APQP), production part approval process (PPAP), statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), measurement system analysis (MSA), and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and inspection methods, including knowledge of various measurement tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
     

Communication Skills :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and management at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships and influence stakeholders to achieve quality goals.

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills :

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex quality problems in a systematic and timely manner.
  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.), Quality Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a related role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and improving supplier quality performance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications in Quality (e.g., BB, ASQ CQE, CQM, etc.) are a plus.

Additional Information:

  • Travel frequency around 10%.
