Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.
What You Will Do:
- Act as the secondary lead for Transportation Operations and provide operational coverage and support to the primary lead as required.
- Manage shipment exceptions for Asia-Pacific airfreight operations, working collaboratively with internal teams and service providers to drive timely resolution.
- Audit service provider invoices for billing accuracy and compliance with SOX controls across air, ocean, and trucking operations.
- Partner with service providers to investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies within established KPI timelines.
- Maintain the invoice discrepancy log and monitor open items through closure.
- Maintain the transportation rate repository, ensuring rates are accurate, current, and properly documented
- Follow up with service providers to obtain outstanding credit and debit notes.
- Submit approved invoices to APSS promptly to facilitate timely payment to service providers.
- Respond promptly to service provider enquiries and provide clear updates on invoice status.
- Track and report invoicing and billing accuracy KPIs, and lead root cause corrective actions (RCCA) for underperforming KPIs, invoice discrepancies, and process gaps.
- Collect and analyze data on transportation suppliers’ billing performance and variability, and support improvement initiatives using LEAN methodology.
- Lead LEAN projects to improve invoice audit processes, reduce freight costs, and shorten transit lead times.
- Manage ADC Singapore freight payable activities, including month-end reporting, monthly spend accruals, forecasting, and analysis of spending trends.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to support ADC spot-rate requests.
What You Have:
- Experience in, or equivalent knowledge of, supply chain and logistics operations, including transportation, contracting, and traffic management.
- Analytical Skills
- Proficiency in digital systems such as Power BI, Copilot, SAP is an advantage.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques and tools, with the ability to identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical solutions to organizational problems.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both within and outside the company.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, self-motivation, discipline, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Additional Info:
- This position is offered on a one-year renewable contract, subject to business requirements and individual performance.
- This position requires working onsite five days a week.
