Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.

As a Senior Parts Orders Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of division of workflow for Operations, Customer Service, Carriers and other Traffic employees to help accomplish assigned responsibilities.

Additional Information:

  • This role is located in Morton, IL and does not offer relocation or sponsorship
  • This role is 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday with rotational weekend coverage.
  • This role is 100% on-site with no opportunities for hybrid or remote schedules.
  • This role requires up to 10% domestic travel.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage international parts order fulfillment activities, coordinating shipments with Supply Chain Services (SCS) and SCS China to ensure timely delivery to global customers.

  • Process and monitor customer orders through invoicing, post goods issue (PGI) transactions, and shipment documentation.

  • Oversee route management activities to ensure shipments are properly staged and prepared for their next destination.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the movement of parts through the global supply chain network.

  • Communicate directly with customers to expedite critical orders, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.

  • Partner with international stakeholders to coordinate order execution and address shipment-related inquiries.

  • Prepare, review, and print invoices while ensuring accuracy and compliance with established processes.

  • Support the management of service commitments, including deferred and guaranteed shipment programs.

  • Monitor order status and proactively identify opportunities to improve delivery performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Develop working knowledge of multiple operational functions and processes to provide flexible support across the organization.

  • Prioritize high-volume order activity during peak operational periods to ensure customer requirements are met.

  • Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure timely completion of order processing activities.


What You Have (Basic Requirements):

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
  • Materials Handling and Management: Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.

  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Skills):

  • 1–3 years of experience (or equivalent knowledge) in Operations, Expediting, Purchasing, and Traffic
  • Strong communication skills with personnel at all levels, including suppliers and transportation carriers
  • Strong PC skills (Office 365, Outlook)
  • Strong EWM and yard management experience
  • Experience with international shipping and global logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of invoicing, PGI, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers and business partners across different countries and time zones.
  • Experience managing urgent customer requests and expediting critical orders.

Summary Pay Range:

$28.70 - $43.10

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
