Salary: Starting from £66,079 depending on experience

As part of Caterpillar's Trade Center of Excellence (TCOE), you'll serve as a trusted business partner, working closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs, provide expert guidance on trade matters, and embed compliance principles into the foundation of our business operations.
This role offers the opportunity to drive trade compliance by translating regulatory requirements into practical business solutions, supporting strategic decision-making, and helping shape the future of Caterpillar's trade strategy. What You Will Do:
Help execute risk assessments of customs trade compliance programs to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
Collaborate with in-region Business Divisions, Compliance teams, and Legal teams to provide strategic and operational support for global trade management at Caterpillar
Support the development, implementation and maintenance of customs trade compliance policies and procedures
Provide training on government laws, rules and regulations as they pertain to organizational products, services and technologies
Proactively monitor, manage and mitigate risks through stakeholder engagement and assist with development and implementation of compliance strategies and goals in line with company's business objectives
Effectively communicate insights, progress, and recommendations across the organization as needed
What You Will Bring:
International Trade: Knowledge of the markets, issues, regulations, practices and operations of international trade; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately in diverse situations.
Expertise with trade compliance or a related field
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship and stakeholder management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with various stakeholders, peers within LSPP and across Caterpillar
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Effective Communications: Understanding effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques and the ability to collaborate vertically and horizontally, across levels and various business functions, and with external parties
Top Candidates Will Have:
Expert Export Controls knowledge, aa strong understanding of Customs processes would also be beneficial.
Demonstrated business partnering, advocacy, and acumen with strong intellectual curiosity
Development and/or management of compliance processes is a plus

The primary location for this role is Peterborough, UK
Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
10 to 20% travel is expected
