Caterpillar’s Indirect Procurement organization within the Global Finance Services Division (GFSD) is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support sourcing and purchasing activities across multiple U.S.-based facilities.
This role is a key enabler within the procurement organization, providing analytics, process support, and operational expertise to indirect procurement buyers. You will play an important role in improving day-to-day procurement execution, supporting supplier performance, and identifying opportunities to enhance processes through data-driven insights and modern tools.
This position is well-suited for a candidate who enjoys working at the intersection of procurement and data analytics, with the ability to bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to an evolving function.
What You Will Do
- Support procurement operations including requisitions, sourcing activities, cost/price analysis, and purchase order execution
- Provide analytical support to buyers by developing insights related to cost, supplier performance, and procurement processes
- Leverage tools such as Excel, procurement systems (e.g., Coupa, Guided Buying/NextGen), and emerging solutions to improve efficiency and visibility
- Analyze and maintain procurement processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization
- Support supplier-related activities including issue resolution, performance tracking, and workflow management
- Assist in pricing support and supplier selection activities for internal stakeholders
- Monitor order and shipment activity to ensure assurance of supply and timely execution
- Contribute to initiatives focused on improving procurement tools, processes, and data utilization across the organization
- Explore and support the use of AI-enabled tools and digital solutions to enhance procurement effectiveness

- Procurement Knowledge: Working knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, purchasing, and approval workflows
What Will Set You Apart
- Experience in procurement analytics, procurement operations, or buyer support roles
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Experience with procurement platforms such as Coupa, Guided Buying, or similar systems
- Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and challenge existing ways of working
- Interest in or experience using AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve workflows and productivity
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Summary Pay Range:
$89,210.00 - $133,810.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
