Job Summary

This position executes, administers, and continuously improves payroll processes with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with labor, tax, and social security regulations, while delivering an excellent employee experience.

What You Will Do

  • Updating systems and analyzing processes to ensure periodic payrolls are accurately calculated with disbursements to employees on a timely basis.

  • Ensuring the accuracy of payroll routines which include validation of calculated wages, in-process verification and correction of anomalies, and analysis of pay results for comparability with prior periods.

  • Collaboratively responding to inquiries and troubleshooting issues related to payroll that require payroll policy interpretation.

  • Consistently reviewing payroll procedures to make changes which improve payroll accuracy and efficiencies.

  • Maintains compliance with all aspects of payroll.

  • Has responsibility for one or more complex, specialized areas of payroll.

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert on business changes that impact that area of payroll

  • Proposes and implements business process changes when required due to company policies, labor agreements, and legislative/tax requirements

  • Recommends solutions and partners with internal and external business partners to implement the corrections

Required Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

  • Languages: Intermediate to Advanced English

  • Systems: TRESS, WORKDAY, SUA, Kronos

  • Knowledge in Tax and Social Security law, accounting, compliance, payroll

Payroll Management: Knowledge of payroll policy and methods; ability to use tools, techniques and processes to manage employee payroll and benefits operations.
Level Basic Understanding:
• Locates forms and documents used for processing payroll transactions.
• Names laws affecting hiring and termination processes and payroll accounting.
• Identifies the general ledger entries that are associated with payroll and benefits.
• Describes the basic concepts of payroll accounting and administration.

Payroll Administration: Knowledge of policies, operations and standards related to payroll; ability to establish, implement, and administer policies, procedures, and systems for confidentially calculating, preparing and distributing payrolls.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Administers payroll-related procedures and policies for sick leave, vacation, hires and terminations.
• Applies appropriate payroll systems to process payroll-related tasks.
• Resolves payroll-related problems according to organizational payroll policies.
• Calculates payroll by utilizing payroll administration systems to process data.
• Assists in monitoring the costs related to payroll systems maintenance in the organization.

Additional Information

  • Location: Santa Catarina, Nuevo León.

  • Work Model: On-site, Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
